Jose Perez Zamora is the Milwaukee Brewers' official barber, and his work has followed the team through its run to the World Series.

Zamora grew up on Milwaukee's South Side, raised by Mexican immigrant parents. He works out of Flashy Faded Barbershop in Bay View and, during the regular season, sets up at the ballpark from about 11 a.m. until game time, cutting as many as 15 players in that window.

Each player has a different look, he said, pointing to lines for William Contreras and Jackson Chourio and a faded beard for Garrett Mitchell. Manager Pat Murphy also sits in his chair.

His guiding line is simple: when you look good, you play good and you feel good. Zamora said he is proud to care for most of the team and called it an honor to walk the player tunnels and see the operation from inside.

With Milwaukee having won the National League pennant, Zamora said he expects a busy World Series and is ready for it, calling himself lucky to be part of what he described as a special group.
