The UW-La Crosse women's tennis team beat UW-Eau Claire 7-0 on Wednesday afternoon at Green Island Tennis Park in La Crosse.

The win moves the Eagles to 7-0 overall and 5-0 in the WIAC. Eau Claire fell to 6-1 overall and 4-1 in conference play.

The result gives UWL at least a share of the regular-season conference title, the program's 17th and its second in a row. The Eagles can win the title outright with a victory at UW-Whitewater on Saturday, Oct. 17.

UWL swept all three doubles matches and all six singles matches in straight sets. Shelby Roth won at the top singles spot, with Lily Jorgenson, Caitlyn Stadter, Lauren Lindow, Hannah Cady and Maia Samuelson also winning in singles.

The win was UWL's 14th straight at home and its 12th straight in conference duals. The WIAC Tournament is scheduled for April and May 2027, with the winner earning the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Championships.
