Wausau Ignite Softball said Jasmin Estrada will be back as head coach for the 2027 season. She has held the job since the team began play in 2025.
Wausau improved sharply in 2026, finishing 21-19 after a 12-30 record the year before. The team was one of only two in the league above .500 and reached the Northwoods League Softball playoffs for the first time.
Four Ignite players were picked for the league's first softball All-Star Game in 2026. The club also collected four postseason all-star honors, along with league hitting and fielding awards.
Estrada is entering her first season as an assistant coach at Augustana University. She previously coached at Upper Iowa University and as a graduate assistant at Northern State, and she played at St. Cloud State, where she still holds several hitting records.
Season tickets and some ticket packages for 2027 are on sale now. The team said its schedule and single-game tickets will follow.
